Cuir X is a story whispered in the bar of a prestigious luxury hotel in Paris, opposite the Tuileries, once patronized by kings, an emperor’s mistress and a Catalan genius walking an ocelot on a leash…
Sipping whisky in a leather couch. Time stops. Starts moving backwards. Cabin trunks, club chairs, shagreen powder compacts… The iconic note of the 1920s, shared by flappers and adventurers, is revived with this amber and saffron-tinged leather, fine-grained, powdered with iris, mellowed in the base notes by the burnished tones of vanilla, cistus and tonka bean.

About
“Graceful, refined creations which defy the time of tyranny.” La Parfumerie Moderne takes you back to the Roaring Twenties and the Belle Epoque, the golden years of perfumery. Their inspiration lays in the era of glamour and their legendary hotels with their timeless elegance and posh visitors. Their label is inspired by the baggage tags of that era. Philippe Neirinck uses new resources to simulate the complex smell of lilac. He developed five perfumes together with Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, which pay homage to five legendary hotels from that time period: Cuir X, Désarment, No Sport, Années Folles, and Belles Rives.
